Fire Restoration
Restore Your Home After Fire and Smoke Damage

When disaster strikes your home, your family's lives are disrupted.
All you want to do is get everything back to normal. Fast.
You may be anxious to clean your home after a fire, but unless you take the time to get professional advice, you may be wasting your efforts or creating further damage. Even when the fire is out, the damage continues. Much of the material found in furniture and flooring is synthetic and when burned, it can create a variety of complex chemical reactions. After only a few days, these items go from cleanable to un-salvageable.
Contact your insurance agency immediately once the fire is out. He or she can provide advice on restoration or replacement of damaged items. Even after the fire is doused and the smoke has cleared, time is of the essence to increase your chances of a complete recovery. Corrosive byproducts from fire and smoke can cause irreversible etching in as few as 72 hours.
The professionals of ServiceMaster Clean® are experts in understanding the chemical combinations that can effectively clean and salvage belongings. We can even remove soot from at-risk items such as brass, aluminum, chrome, marble, tile, and porcelain as well as fabrics in upholstery and carpets, thus helping to avoid additional expenses.
At ServiceMaster, our goal is to restore your home-and your peace of mind- as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our licensed and insured technicians will communicate with you every step of the way.
Removing Smoke Odor from Textiles
Smoke odor may remain in clothing, upholstered furniture, carpets and draperies unless they are properly deodorized before cleaning. Professional assistance is recommended. Keep in mind that most household deodorizing sprays and disinfectants provide only temporary relief. In addition, deodorizing sprays may interact with smoke odor and create an additional odor.
ServiceMaster Clean is a professional fire restorer and has the training and equipment needed to "counteract," the smoke molecules to eliminate odors. The type of counteractant used will vary with the type of material burned in the fire.
As a Professional Fire Restorer, we use both ozone treatment equipment and thermal fogging units to break up smoke molecules and eliminate odors. If the process is done in the home, items are put under a tent while an ozone generator is operating. Counteractant chemicals are professionally applied to furniture, carpets and draperies, and to your smoke damaged clothes.
